Dj MarkyZ //Marko Zekic// resident DJ ||FEEL THE CONNECTION NIGHT @MOYO Florence IT|| was born in Serbia on October 9th 1985. He went to Arts & Design high school in Novi Sad. During that period he started to experiment with music and different instruments. He took part at the school orchestra, playing synthesizer... and piano, but being a Dj was always his great dream. After finishing high school he moved to Florence in 2005 to continue studies at the Academy of Fine Arts. Another huge passion of his is art and painting, and he tends to combine them all. Music has often been an inspiration for his paintings. In 2006 Marko meets another young and prospective Dj, Miss Lea Dobricic, with whom he made his first serious steps as a Dj. In 2009 took place his first important public appearance at Moyo bar in Florence and his progress never stopped since then. He became a resident Dj at Moyo with his “Feel The Connection” night. On October of 2009 Dj MarkyZ decides to improve his deejaying skills and technique and enters the Italian Dj Academy, organized by Tenax(Florence IT ), one of the most famous Italian discotheques. There he had an opportunity to learn from some big names of the Italian Dj scene, like Alex Neri. MarkyZ started to make his experience playing in Florentine’s top clubs, Switzerland and across Serbia and Montenegro. His style goes from techno, techno-house to minimal. He’s playing exclusively vinyls and he’s using Tractor Scratch. The simple touch of the vinyls and the decks give him special pleasure. Alongside with the deejaying, MarkyZ is also experimenting the music production (live, logic).
